Did you know you can start Dahlias from seeds??

Writer: Sarah BuerkleySarah Buerkley

This can be a fun way to create a pollinator garden more economically! Mixed Dahlia seeds will produce lots of flowers in many colors and shapes as they are cross pollinated by bees. Each is totally unique and can be developed into viable tubers to be planted in future years.

At www.sccflowerfarm.com we have created a dahlia seed mix that is derived from the Cafe Au Lait, Appleblossom, Brown Sugar and more, mother plants from our field. It is common that the new Dahlias will have traits of their mother plants.

Who knows, you may discover the next, sought after variety!! 🤩 SO FUN!!!
